State Vehicle Laws

Learn the State Vehicle Laws Before Moving

Many people take vehicles with them when moving to a new state. It is in everyone’s best interest to know the state vehicle laws before you move. This includes things such as how long you have to register your vehicle and transfer your driver’s license over. It also includes seat belt laws and alcohol laws.

The vehicle laws we have chosen to list are very simplified and have been chosen based on things people to do right away upon moving. These laws do vary by state and are subject to change.

It is our goal to hand you as much information as possible while you’re trying to decide where you’d like to live in the future.

We have also included links to each state’s motor vehicles department and links to the full state laws.

As always, do your full research prior to moving to a state. Our job is simply to give you a head start and assist however we can.
